Apple has claimed that they will set purchase limits on some of their products in online stores in United States and Canada, Europe, Asia, and several other regions.
These products include the newly released ones such as the 2020 iPad Pro, 2020 MacBook Air and the Mac mini but also on the entire range of iPhones.
Some of these limitations include:
- MacBook Air and the Mac mini are limited to five orders per customer.
- The new iPad Pro is limited to two orders per customer (both for the 11-inch and 12.9 inch-models)
- iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone 11, iPhone XR, iPhone 8, and iPhone 8 Plus are also limited to two orders per customer.
Rumors suggest that usually Apple sets limitations for its products in order to combat the gray market, just like they did with the AirPods Pro, but for this time, this might be a consequence of closing the factories and stores due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and in their efforts for balancing their supplies until their factories and stores will be opened.
