A new statement posted on Dollar Tree’s website shows that the company has now implemented Apple Pay and all other mobile contactless-based payment methods in its stores.
The statement reads the following:
“Most registers are now equipped with contactless payment through Tap to Pay with Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. All Family Dollar stores have these options available, and all Dollar Tree stores will have this technology implemented by the end of April.”
I was able to find that my nearby Dollar Tree store in Le Mars, IA has Apple Pay working in its store as of a couple of weeks ago.
Dollar Tree owns all of the Family Dollar stores which also accept Apple Pay in its stores.
By Dollar Tree accepting Apple Pay in its stores, it also means Apple Card users can use Apple Card from their iPhone or Apple Watch and get two percent in Daily Cash.
Apple Pay is still not accepted as a payment method on Dollar Tree’s website. However, if you see Apple Pay or Apple Card being used and accepted at your Dollar Tree store or see someone using it at a store, let us know on Twitter at @appleosophy.
