Apple Pay and McDonalds

The coronavirus has done a lot of awful things to the U.S. One good thing about it is that it has gotten more companies to begin accepting Apple Pay in its stores.

We have already seen this with companies and stores such as Dollar Tree and The Vitamin Shoppe.

A post from Reddit now shows that McDonald’s, one of the most popular fast-food chains in the country, is promoting the use of contactless payment methods such as Apple Pay and credit/debit cards that have the contactless NFC chip embedded.

As you can see in the image above, it shows how customers can simply “tap” their credit/debit card instead of inserting the card into the chip reader.

This works the same way as someone who uses Apple Pay or Apple Card from their iPhone or Apple Watch.

Have you seen this at a McDonald’s near you? Let us know on Twitter at @appleosophy!
