Today Apple released iOS 13.6 to the public. The new update introduces FaceTime to users in the United Arab Emirates, where the FaceTime app and other related features were previously unavailable.

Many users have discovered the feature is available after installing iOS 13.6. Apple’s release notes and support documents do not mention any changes to regions or FaceTime.

All devices sold in the United Arab Emirates have FaceTime disabled out of the box, but installing iOS 13.6 and iOS 14 beta should unlock the ability to use FaceTime.
