The good news for this week is that we have more sports games going on this weekend and throughout next week than what we had a few months ago.
TV:
- “Shameless” (Season 10): The tenth season of the series is going to be available on Sunday, July 26 on Netflix. The season has 12 episodes.
- “Transformers War for Cybertron”: The first season of this new “Transformers” TV series will be available to stream on Netflix on Thursday, July 30.
- “Broadchurch”: This popular British drama TV series starring David Tennant, who played the 10th Doctor in “Doctor Who.” Â Jodie Whittaker, who plays the 13th Doctor in “Doctor Who” also has a role in the show as well. All three seasons are available to stream on Netflix.
Movies:
- “Palm Springs”: Yes, we did recommend this one last week, but the movie is said to be one of Hulu’s best original films ever.
- “Almost Friends”: This indie film can be found to strean on Prime Video and the new Peacock streaming service on both its premium and ad-supported versions. The movie is also available to stream on Tubi too.
- “Linkin Park: Frat Party at the Pankake Festival”: We are recommending this concert movie this week due to the three-year anniversary of the death of Linkin Park lead singer Chester Bennington who died after committing suicide in 2017. It is not on a streaming service, but can be rented on the Apple TV app for just $2.99.
Sports:
- Â Milwaukee Brewers vs. Chicago Cubs (MLB): The MLB season is back and we could not be happier about it. This game features one of the most beloved teams in all of baseball. The game will be played at 7 p.m., Friday, July 24, on ESPN.
- Baltimore Orioles vs. Boston Red Sox (MLB): Like with the game above, this game is also being played tonight. The game begins at 7:30 p.m. ET on Friday, July 24, on ESPN+.
- New York Yankees vs. Washington Nationals (MLB): Saturday night baseball is back. This game will be at 7:15 p.m. ET on Saturday, July 25, on FOX.
