Along with the many other announcements that were made during Thursday’s Disney investor day event, one of the big ones was a new price increase that will be put into effect next year.
Starting in March 2021, the streaming service will cost $7.99 a month, which is an increase of $1 from its current $6.99 a month price tag.
There will also be a new through Disney+ that will include ad-free Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN+ that will cost $18.99 a month. However, there will be no option to subscribe to the bundle through Apple and the App Store, and it must be subscribed through the Disney+ website.
Contrary to popular belief, the bundle has already existed through Hulu, as we reported earlier this year. The only difference now is the bundle will come through the Disney+ website and not on Hulu’s website.
Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ are available on the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Apple TV and Mac. Live and on-demand ESPN+ content is accessible in the ESPN app and will begin to accessible through Hulu starting next year as well.
