Google today has finally updated more of their iOS apps for the first time in three months. Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Meet, Google Calendar, and Google Tasks have all received updates for iOS and iPadOS.

These updates include “Bug fixes and performance improvements” with Google Tasks adding new iOS 14 Widgets.

Almost all Google apps for iOS and iPadOS have not been updated in months until now, that was creating speculation that Google was holding back updates as a way to delay revealing to its users Google’s privacy practices with the new App Store privacy nutrition labels. Apple revealed App Store privacy nutrition labels during WWDC 2020 and rolled out in December 2020.

App Store privacy nutrition labels were created so users could understand what type of data apps collect. On each app’s product page, users can learn about some of the data types an app may collect, and whether that data is linked to them or used to track them.
