Today is the day that the folks at Google and YouTube have discontinued support for the Apple TV third generation.
We reported last month that Google and YouTube had plans to drop app support for the YouTube app in March, which has started as of today.
Now the only way to use YouTube on the Apple TV third generation is by using devices like an iPhone or iPad and using AirPlay from either of those devices to that Apple TV.
App support for the tvOS apps on the Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K are still there and will likely not be going away anytime soon.
Additionally, the CBS app is set to lose support on the Apple TV third generation tomorrow with the branding of Paramount+.
