Apple Pay support in South Africa has been rumored for a few months, but the country pulled the lever this morning and it looks as though a couple banks in the country are supporting it.

Three banks that have begun to support Apple Pay there are Discovery, Absa and Nedbank, according to MacRumors.

The way to find out if your bank in South Africa has begun to support Apple Pay is through the Apple Wallet app.

To add a new card, open the Wallet app, then tap the “+” icon in the top-right corner and type in your debit card information. However, after submitting all of the card info, if you get a message that says, “Your issuer does not yet offer support for this card,” that means your bank and card do not have Apple Pay support at this time.
