New alleged dummy models of iPad Pro & iPad Mini have surfaced on Twitter with some notable surprises.
The images come from Sonny Dickson, an Apple leaker with about 60% historical accuracy.
Dickson has leaked some legitimate information in the past, mainly regarding dummy iPhones (suggesting that these dummy images may also be correct). However, he was inaccurate regarding other products, like last year, when he predicted that Apple would discontinue the MacBook Air.

According to his leak, the dummy models of the iPad Pro & Mini models show that the upcoming models won’t feature a new design, which is unusual especially for the iPad Mini, which hasn’t received a new design since 2019 and will apparently continue to include large bezels on all sides and a home button on the bottom.
For the Pro models, it looks like the design is also unchanged, which is mostly okay. Interestingly enough, the smart connector appears to be missing on the larger 12.9″ iPad, possibly suggesting some trickery. The iPad Pro models received a refresh in 2019 that added a second camera lens, LiDAR, and a faster processor.
The 2021 iPad Pro & Mini versions are expected to be unveiled in a potential Apple Event this month or in WWDC this summer. Apple is also rumored to reveal the Pro versions which may feature a Mini-LED display.
