This morning, pre-orders started for the AirTags, as well as other products like the new purple iPhone 12.
For me, this was my first Apple pre-ordering experience. I would have wished to do it sooner, but when I was in college, I never had the money to buy new Apple products for full price and to buy them at the same time as the launch date.
However, now that I am working full-time (not here at Appleosophy, somewhere else), I now have a full-time income that allows me to purchase items that I need and want. AirTags are definitely in the want category here.
With all of that said, I decided to pull the trigger and get myself one AirTag. After all, for just $29 for one, that’s not a bad price at all.
On top of the single AirTag, I did purchase a blue Belkin Secure Holder with Key Ring for an additional $12.95 because I do intend to put this on my keyring to keep track of my car keys.
I did wake up at exactly 7 a.m. CT to make the purchase.
Of course, I used Apple Pay to make my purchase, but instead of using my normal debit card, I used Apple Card because I wanted to get that 3% in Daily Cash.
I’ll say that I had my whole transaction done in about two minutes. I was smart and just put the products that I wanted in my “Favorites” part of the iPhone app so when the time came to pre-order, I could easily access everything, get it all into my shopping cart and place the order.
Best of all, I got my order in so quickly that I am set to get my AirTag and Belkin Key Ring on launch day, Friday, April 30.
Not bad for someone who was pre-ordering for the first time ever from Apple.
So yes, the pre-order was a success from start to finish, and I do plan on also buying myself the new Siri Remote that was announced during Apple’s “Spring Loaded” event from this past Tuesday. I’m not sure if I will pre-order it this next week or wait until it launches and then buying it at an Apple Store or Best Buy.
