Last week, Apple revealed its dramatic overhaul of its Podcasts services to offer premium subscriptions for a monthly rate. Today, Apple has signed a deal for an exclusive podcast that focuses on Siegfried & Roy.

If you haven’t heard of Siegfried & Roy, they were magicians and entertainers who performed with white lions and tigers in Las Vegas until a serious incident involving a white tiger left Roy permanently paralyzed and verbally impaired. This podcasts series will explore the stories behind the pair’s former career.

Apple has offered exclusive podcasts series as companion content for its Apple TV+ originals, but they haven’t gained much traction. Apple is gearing up to promote more original premium content for its Podcasts service along with its upcoming show/series pairing “The Line”. Additionally, it is planning a six-part non-fictional podcast and a four-part documentary series.

Podcast creators can published their own podcasts and collect subscription fees by joining the Apple Podcasts for Creators website program. The program costs $19.99 a year.
