As of Tuesday, May 11, Visa has announced that it has brought Apple Pay support in Japan.

Those in Japan that have debit/credit cards on the following financial institutions issued by Aplus, SMBC Finance Service, Credit Saison, NTT DoCoMo, Mitsui Sumitomo Bank Card, JACCS and Rakuten can now add their cards to their iPhone and Apple Watch via the Wallet app on the iPhone.

This also means that they will have access to other services like Apple Cash, where users can pay each other with Apple’s Venmo-like service through iMessage.

Visa also published a video that highlights the fact that its cards are now supported in Japan too.
