Apple is releasing numerous software updates to their product lineup, including the Apple Watch with watchOS 7.5 releasing today.

Some features in the new update are the same as on iOS 14.6 like Podcast Subscriptions and Apple Card Family.

  • Access to subscription content in the Podcasts app
  • Apple Card allows members to track expenses, manage spending, and build credit together with a Family Sharing group
  • Support for the ECG app on Apple Watch Series 4 or later in Malaysia and Peru
  • Support for irregular heart rhythm notifications in Malaysia and Peru

The biggest update is more countries get ECG support, the latter being Malaysia and Peru. ECG has been a feature on the Apple Watch since Apple Watch Series 4.

ECG on the Apple Watch tests and records the timing and strength of the electrical signals that make a heartbeat. The feature is now available in 87 countries and regions.

Update your Apple Watch to watchOS 7.5 either when you go to the Settings app on your Apple Watch then find Software Update, or with the Watch companion app on your iPhone.
