In the always ever-changing streaming TV market, another competitor is set to hit the tvOS App Store.
As of Thursday, July 22, Verizon Fios TV is set to be the newest live TV streaming service on the Apple TV.
One of the main reasons this is being done is due to Verizon trying to use the app on the Apple TV to get away from set-top boxes and the fees associated with them. By having an app that subscribers can download on their Apple TV, it makes less work for the company and consumer.
Verizon Fios TV starts at $56 a month but is not available in all markets of the U.S. at this time. It is also available on the iPhone and iPad. Click here to see the full list of channels available on the streaming service.
