Apple is well-known for its commitment to user privacy as the big company has quoted that privacy is a human right. It is an important issue that has been discussed in recent press releases and events, and the company has taken serious measures across its hardware, software, and services such as iCloud and iMessage.

Just recently, as spotted on Reddit, if you take a look at the iCloud Security Overview page, Safari bookmarks are now encrypted so that only you can access the bookmarks that you’ve saved, not even Apple or anyone else can see them. This is another step towards Apple’s ongoing commitment to privacy.

However, Apple has yet to add end-to-end encryption across iCloud backups, Photos, Reminders, and other iCloud features. Even though the big company has received pressure in the recent months, it’s all about progress in the end, not perfection.
