It was announced earlier this year that AMC movie theaters would begin accepting Apple Pay in 2022.
Fast-forwarding a few months since that announcement, work seems to have begun for the folks at AMC, as its AMC Theatres app in the App Store was recently updated and is now accepting Apple Pay as a payment method.
This was discovered by @GabrielIN2790 on Twitter who tipped Appleosophy about this.
Also, AMC’s website is now accepting Apple Pay on it as well.
AMC Theatres CEO Adam Aron made the announcement on Twitter of its app and website accepting Apple Pay, with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies being supported now.
