Apple Introduces Fitness+ Collections, and Time to Run starting January 10

Today, Apple introduced Collections and Time to Run for its Fitness+ customers. Collections houses a sequence of meditation and workout videos, while Time to Run is an audio running experience that motivates users to be better runners. It also features popular running routes in selected cities.

Launching on January 10th, Apple Fitness+ will announce 3rd season of Time to walk featuring popular celebrities and Hollywood icons. New Artist spotlight workouts will also be introduced featuring music from Ed Sheeran, Pharrell Williams, Shakira, and the Beatles.

Fitness Collections

Collections will include almost 2000 studio-style workouts and guided meditations. It will also suggest a plan for users to make their intentional training choices.

The following Collections will be available at the time of launch:
  • 30-Day Core Challenge
  • Improve Your Posture with Pilates
  • Perfect Your Yoga Balance Poses
  • Run Your First 5K
  • Strengthen Your Back, Stretch Your Hips
  • Wind Down for a Better Bedtime

Time to Run

Apple says that the Time to Run would offer an audio running experience that will motivate users to be consistent and become better runners. For Apple Watch users who use a wheelchair, Time to Run turns into Time to Push.

Three episodes of Time to Run will debut at the time of launch:

  • London, coached by Cory Wharton-Malcolm
  • Brooklyn, coached by Emily Fayette
  • Miami Beach, coached by Sam Sanchez

A new episode will be released on Monday of every week.

Artist Spotlight

Apple Fitness+ will also feature workout music by Pharrel Williams, Ed Sheeran, The Beatles, and Shakira. Apple Music and Apple One Subscribers will be able to access these tracks for motivation as an addition to fitness.

The Cupertino-based giant says that each artist would have a separate playlist and it will be motivating and high-energy tracks from their entire catalogs. And again, the new features are launching on Monday, January 10.
