Following the opening of the Yas Mall store, Apple is readying to open another Apple Store in Abu Dhabi – the capital of the United Arab Emirates, located at Al Marayah Island.
On Thursday, the Cupertino-based giant has announced to the Emirati publication The National that a fourth retail store is opening in the Gulf country:
The Apple Al Maryah Island store will offer views of the waterfront promenade and “be a home for customers to explore their creativity, discover new products and receive the best support from the new retail team”,
The publication has stated that Apple unveiled a special barricade surrounding the storefront, with the barrier “paying tribute to pearls and pearl divers, and what they represent for Abu Dhabi’s history and culture”:
“The pearl and the environment it is born out of is a great metaphor for the growth of the city, and its investment in its creative community that is driving full speed towards the future,” Apple said.
Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of retail and people said that the company “looks forward to continuing to bring the best of Apple to the UAE and building on our history in the region.”
The store’s retail page on Apple’s website does not add more details other than a “Coming soon” label and a statement that reads:
“Our store on Al Maryah Island will open soon.”
“If a grain of sand can transform into a luminous pearl, at Apple Al Maryah Island an idea can definitely turn into a brilliant gem. Whether you’re trying something new, or expanding upon your ideas, in our new Apple Store, you’ll find all the space and tools you need to help your creativity shine.”
“So why wait by the shore? Take a deep breath and dive in with us
and go on a journey to discover the creativity that lies within.”
“Apple Store, Al Maryah Island
Creativity shines within.”
The United Arab Emirates is not the only country in the Middle East that is noticing some Apple retail openings, back in October 2021, Apple opened its latest Apple Bağdat Caddesi store in Istanbul, Türkiye (Turkey).
