Announced last month, the all-new redesigned MacBook Air with the M2 chip will be available to order starting this Friday, July 8 at 5 am PDT/8 am EDT. The M2 Air takes the same design cues as its bigger brothers – the 14″/16″ MacBook Pros.
MacRumors exclusively reported that this machine would go on sale this week. Another Easter egg from MKBHD’s latest videos has revealed the embargo date for the aforementioned laptop (July 14) as reported by Twitter user @tme_michael.
Discovery in the latest @MKBHD video: “Apple MBA briefing” is listed on his Calendar for Thursday.
Looks like M2 MacBook Air embargo and launch is around the corner, as expected – but further confirmation is always nice to have. pic.twitter.com/z9mUVoNSf5

Apple released its M2 MacBook Pro already, yet with mixed reviews that ranged from a dated design to even slower SSD speeds on the base model. With that said, it seems that this Air will be the one that we all should keep an eye out. We’ll explain in-depth why this MacBook Air is a much better buy than the M2 13″ Pro, but bottom line, is that the Air offers a lot of nice improvements for a price that’s similar to the latter.
The MacBook Air (M2) will go on sale this Friday starting at $1,199 for consumers and $1,099 for education. The MacBook Air (M1) is still available at $999/$899 for consumers and education, respectively.
