iPhone users finally feel like they’re taking charge again of their smartphone after it was revealed Monday that iOS 16 beta 5 has brought back the return of the battery percentage in the status bar.
For those that are running the beta and do not know how to get it on their iPhone, they will have to open the Settings app, scroll to where it says Battery, and then above that menu, there should be an option to turn on the Battery Percentage feature.
iOS users have had a hard time getting their battery percentage on their iPhone right from the status bar due to how iOS is set up and because of Apple trying to cram as much information on the status bar.
Now, according to this beta, with it toggled on, the user will always be able to see what their battery percentage is at that very moment. Previously, users of the iPhone X and higher would have to swipe down on the top-right side of the screen in order to see what their battery level was.
