In 2020, Apple embarked on the first step in transitioning its Macs from Intel processors to Silicon-based chips. It began with the introduction of its M1 chip in 2020’s MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and Mac mini. The current Apple Silicon chips include M1, M1 Pro, M1 Max, M1 Ultra, and the recently announced M2.
The M1 MacBook Pro is now available for a fantastic price of $899.99, down from $1299 at Costco. This deal is valid from 9/14/22 till 9/25/22 and is limited to two units per customer.
Last year, Apple released the newly-redesigned 14-inch and 16-inch M1 Pro and M1 Max MacBook Pros with larger displays, 120Hz ProMotion, returning ports, and upgraded keyboards. However, they are much more expensive than this machine, and this deal is excellent for people interested in experiencing what a Mac feels like for the first time.
Earlier this year, Apple introduced both the slightly updated 13-inch MacBook Pro and the redesigned MacBook Air with the M2 chip at WWDC 2022 and launched the product three weeks later. The M2 Air would soon follow suit. However, there are still a lot of upcoming MacBook models to look forward to. This includes the long-rumored 15-inch MacBook Air. Next month, Apple is expected to debut the upgraded MacBook Pros alongside the public release of macOS Ventura.
