Rihanna announced as Apple Music-sponsored halftime performer for Super Bowl LVII

It was announced by the NFL a couple of days ago that the 2023 Super Bowl LVII halftime show will be sponsored by Apple Music.

We now know that as of today, Apple Music and the NFL have announced that singer Rihanna will be the headline performer for the halftime show of the game.

Seth Dudowsky, NFL Head of Music, said he is excited for viewers to see the type of singer Rihanna is.

“We are thrilled to welcome Rihanna to the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show stage,” he said. “Rihanna is a once in a generation artist who has been a cultural force throughout her career. We look forward to collaborating with Rihanna, Roc Nation and Apple Music to bring fans another historic Halftime Show performance.”

Oliver Schusser, Apple’s vice president of Apple Music and Beats, said Rihanna has been one of the most popular artists on Apple Music since it launched in 2015 and a perfect person the headline a Super Bowl halftime performance.

“Rihanna is an incredible recording artist who is a favorite for many millions of Apple Music customers around the world,” he said. “We’re excited to partner with Rihanna, Roc Nation and the NFL to bring music and sports fans a momentous show ”” what an incredible artist for the inaugural Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show.”

The official Apple Music Twitter account tweeted about the announcement too.

Super Bowl LVII is scheduled to be played on February 12, 2023.
