Uber has updated their iOS app to version 3.550.10000. The new update adds support for a feature that iPhone users have been waiting for since WWDC 2022 and the launch of iOS 16. Live Activities let you visualize your Uber ride with “live” updates on the Lock Screen as well as on the Dynamic Island.
Live Activities allow users to see important information about the ride, such as vehicle details, ETA, trip status, and arrival time. Additionally, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max users can access the progress of the ride on the Dynamic Island when they are using other apps on their devices. Uber announced that the “Uber Eats” app will soon have the new feature.
You can update the Uber app from the App Store:
Open the App Store app > Tap your profile photo or name initials, then scroll down to find the apps waiting for an update. In this case, Uber will display an “Update” button, which you can tap on to update to the latest version.
