(UPDATE: Confirmed) Twitter users now saying Kroger-owned Harris Teeter has started accepting Apple Pay

Over the past month, we have seen not only Kroger grocery stores begin accepting Apple Pay, but also Kroger-owned locations such as Fred Meyer that have begun accepting it this year, as well as other Kroger-owned stores like King Soopers and Ralph’s that started accepting it last year.

Another grocer in the game is now accepting it and that is Harris Teeter, according to a number of Twitter users that have discovered it within the past 24 hours.

Harris Teeter has stores in Delaware, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, Florida, Maryland and Washington, D.C., and is owned by Kroger.

The Apple Pay acceptance at Harris Teeter also comes at a time when select Apple Card users are getting 5-10% in Daily Cash for grocery store purchases for a limited time.

When it comes to whether or not your Harris Teeter store is accepting Apple Pay or not, what happens most of the time is if your store does not currently have it available, it means that it is a gradual rollout process and that support should come to your local store in the coming days and weeks.

What are your thoughts on Harris Teeter supposedly accepting Apple Pay now? Comment below or let us know on Twitter at @appleosophy.

UPDATE: Harris Teeter’s Twitter account has officially confirmed the acceptance of Apple Pay in its stores.
