Apple has just unveiled the highly anticipated update to the iPhone Operating System ”“ iOS 17. With this new version of iOS, Apple brings in useful features and changes as well as refinements across the system. Some of the newly announced features are NameDrop, StandBy, Live Voicemail, and more.
With that being said, iOS 17 is supported by 20 devices, all the way from the iPhone Xs from 2018 to the latest iPhone 14 series from 2022.

- iPhone 13
- iPhone 13 mini

- iPhone 11 Pro

- iPhone SE (3rd generation)
- iPhone SE (2nd generation)
Unfortunately, iOS 17 has dropped support for the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X, all of which were launched in 2017.
However, as iOS 17 is still under development, it is currently only available to Developers for beta testing with it expanding to Public Beta Testers next month. For Beta Testing iOS 17 as a Developer, you need to have a Developer Account with Apple and turn on Beta Updates under Settings>Software Update. The update is expected to be released to the public in September this year along with the upcoming iPhone 15 series.
