As of this morning, Apple Pay has finally and officially launched in Chile and Vietnam. There were rumblings about this happening a couple of days ago, as previously reported.

Twitter user @aaronp613 confirmed both countries getting support for it on his account this morning for Chile and yesterday for Vietnam.

The supported banks for Apple Pay in Chile are said to be Santander, Banco de Chile, Bci, BICE, Banco Falabella, Itaú, and Scotiabank, according to 9to5Mac.

Banks supporting Apple Pay in Vietnam at this time are Vietcombank, MB Bank, Techcombank, ACB, VPBank, and Sacombank, according to Saigon Gigi Phong News.

Once the user’s card is added to their Wallet app on their iPhone, they can make purchases in stores via an iPhone or Apple Watch, as well as purchases online as long as the business accepts Apple Pay and/or contactless-based payment methods.
