With just a month away from the next-generation iPhone 15 series, we’re getting reports on what’s possibly coming to next year’s iPhone 16 Pro models.
The iPhone 16 Pro models could feature WiFi 7, which would allow faster WiFi speeds and improved reliability across all 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz bands simultaneously. Currently, WiFi 6E is the current latest standard as it has made its way to the current Pro lineup of iPad/Mac models, which include the iPad Pro, MacBook Pro, Mac mini, Mac Studio, and Mac Pro. While the current iPhone 14 Pro models feature the older WiFi 6E standard, we can expect the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro models to feature this standard as well.
In addition, the Ultra Wide camera could get a major boost in resolution from 12MP to 48MP on the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro models. Both the iPhone 14 Pro models first brought the 48MP main camera lens, and bringing that resolution to the Ultra Wide would bring even better image quality when capturing at 0.5x optical zoom out, including in low-light environments and in ProRAW editing.
We’re still just over a year before those iPhone models would debut, so it should go without saying that those rumors should be taken with a grain of salt. We’re still expecting this year’s iPhone 15 lineup to be announced next month, so follow us on @Appleosophy to hear even more stories on the upcoming products.
