If there is one thing we have learned about both the writer and actor strikes this year, it is that streaming is the future of television and movies.
With that said, Apple and Paramount are said to be in early talks to be bundling Apple TV+ and Paramount+ and having those bundles be “at a discount,” according to the Wall Street Journal (WSJ).
This year was the year where streaming services across the board in the U.S. raised their prices, including both Apple TV+ and Paramount+.
However, this is not the first time that Apple and Paramount have worked together on a deal like this. The two companies previously had a deal in 2020 where CBS All Access and Showtime were bundled and combined together for $9.99 a month through Apple TV Channels as long as the person also had a subscription to Apple TV+.
That bundle came to an end shortly after CBS All Access was rebranded into Paramount+ in March 2021.
As it stands right now, users can already get Paramount+ with Showtime for $11.99 a month, which is the ad-free version of the streaming service.
We do not know the official numbers of how many subscribers Apple TV+ has since Apple does not release that info, but it has been said to be right at or similar to the number of subscribers Paramount+ and Peacock have.
