On Friday, December 1st, Apple put up a listing for a refurbished version of the Lightning AirPods Pro 2 for $209.00* in the U.S. and Canada, which is $40* cheaper than the price of a brand new set of USB-C AirPods Pros, which are normally priced at $249* on Apple’s website, but if you’re looking for a deal on the USB-C AirPod Pros, then you might want to refer turn to Amazon, where they are listing them for $237.99* new. Amazon also offers a renewed model for the AirPods Pro (2nd Generation) for $189.99*. The AirPods Pro 2s were announced in September of 2022, and they feature an improved Transparency Mode, an improved Active Noise Cancellation, as well as adding speakers to the case for Find My capability, a U1 chip, also for Find My, and a built-in lanyard loop. For devices on iOS 17, iPadOS 17, and macOS Sonoma, Apple added a new “Adaptive Mode”, which dynamically switches between Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency, depending on your environment. Along with this, Apple introduced a conversational awareness mode, which automatically detects when you’re talking, and it goes into Transparency Mode, as well as lower the volume of the media that’s playing.

Recently, Apple also launched a USB-C variant of the AirPods Pro (2nd generation) alongside the new USB-C iPhone 15 Series, which has some hidden new features, such as Lossless Playback when connected to the Vision Pro, as well as an IP54 rating, as opposed to the IPX4 of the Lightning AirPod Pro 2s.

* All prices are as of December 2nd, 2023, and are before taxes and other fees.
