Apple has now confirmed that its Infinite Loop retail store will be closing its doors permanently on Saturday, January 20.
Infinite Loop was Apple’s home headquarters in the 1990s and was there up until 2017, where Apple moved into its new home, Apple Park.
The retail store itself at its Infinite Loop headquarters opened as “The Company Store” in 1993 where it sold company merchandise and was remodeled in 2015. The renovation made the store more so like your usual Apple Store but still offered some company-branded merchandise in it.
Employees at the store have been offered jobs within the company so they can still stay within it if they wish to do so.
MacRumors reported that employees are able to move to stores such as the Apple Park Visitor Center and Apple Valley Fair.
Ironically, on the same day, Apple will be closing one of its retail stores in Honolulu, Hawaii.
