Planning to get a new pair of AirPods? This seems the perfect time to get a pair as the best deals on the AirPods Pro (2nd generation) with USB-C are back. Both Walmart and Amazon are currently offering $60 off on the latest AirPods Pro (2nd generation), which was initially launched by Apple in September of last year and was also updated in September of last year along with the iPhone 15 lineup. This offer is valid till supplies last.
The AirPods Pro (2nd generation) is powered by the new H2 chip, which elevates the Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency mode experience along with offering longer battery life. In addition to Touch control for Media Playback, users can adjust the volume directly from the stem. The brand-new charging case now has a new Lanyard Loop, a built-in speaker and it features the U1 chip to support precision finding, which will help users easily find their AirPods case by playing a sound on the Find My App. Apple is also offering an additional ear tip size – Extra Small for a better and more comfortable fit. More features such as Adaptive Audio, Personalized Volume, and Conversation Awareness are exclusively available to the AirPods Pro (2nd generation) for users running iOS 17, iPadOS 17, watchOS 10, tvOS 17, and macOS Sonoma.
Apple recently also updated the AirPods Pro (2nd generation) in September of last year to feature a USB-C port along with IP54 Water and Dust Resistance, compared to the IPX4 rating on its lightning version. Since the H2 Chip on the USB-C variant of the AirPods Pro has a faster 5 GHz wireless frequency, it will also support 20-bit, 48 kHz Lossless Audio when connected to the Apple Vision Pro, which is expected to be released next year. Since the H2 chip on the Lightning version has a slower 2.4 GHz wireless frequency, it will not support the same. You can purchase the USB-C variant at a $60 discount on both Walmart and Amazon, with an effective price of $189, down from $249. If you’re planning to get the Apple Vision Pro this year, we’d recommend you to get the USB-C variant due to Lossless Audio and reduced audio latency.
If you have an iPhone with a Lightning port, you might be thinking that you’ll need two different cables to charge your iPhone and your AirPods. While that is true, the additional benefits will cover up for it. Since future iPhone models are set to come with USB-C, you’ll not feel the inconvenience anymore when you upgrade eventually as all of your devices will have the same port. For an extra $29, you can also add AppleCare+ to your purchase, which I also would recommend because of its benefits.
Additionally, with the purchase of any AirPods, customers are eligible to get Apple Music free for six months. This offer is only available for new subscribers. Visit apple.com/promo for more details.
