Vision Pro won’t officially launch until February 2; however, Apple has pushed out the first update to visionOS (1.0.1). Given that it’s a dot update, we can expect several last-minute bug fixes that developers and beta testers reported.

According to developer Nicolás Álvarez, visionOS 1.0.1 has a build number of 21N311. Because selected media presses will receive the review units ahead of the official launch to prepare for embargo videos and initial reviews, it’s likely that this update will be immediately available to those headsets when reviewers unbox them. If your incoming order of the Vision Pro initially comes with 1.0, then you may install that day-one update as well.

With iOS 18, iPadOS 18, watchOS 11, and macOS 15 expected to be introduced at WWDC 2024, we can expect even more features coming to the world’s most advanced spatial operating system, visionOS 2.0.

Vision Pro, powered by the M2 and R1 chips, starts at $3,499 with 256GB of storage and 16GB of unified memory. Vision Pro is also available with 512GB of storage ($3,699) and 1TB of storage ($3,899). Vision Pro includes several accessories in the box such as the special branded Polishing Cloth. You can pre-order today, and availability will start on Friday, February 2. You’ll need a device with Face ID to order one so that it can determine the right sizing for the headband.
