Apple announced today that Apple Card currently has over 12 million users.

The company first announced and launched Apple Card in 2019, which is all accessible and managed through the Wallet app on the iPhone. Other features of Apple Card that have released since it first launched have been Apple Card Family, Apple Savings Account, and multiple new 3% Daily Cash merchants.

Of those 12 million customers using Apple Card, 30% of them are said to be making 1-2 payments a month. It also also stated that over $1 billion dollars of Daily Cash was issued to Apple Card customers in 2023.

Jennifer Bailey, Apple’s vice president of Apple Pay and Apple Wallet, said Apple Card has been an excellent credit card for users and that Apple will continue to keep making it so.

“We designed Apple Card with users’ financial health in mind, and it’s rewarding to see our more than 12 million customers using its features to make healthier financial decisions,” she said. “We’re proud of what we’ve been able to deliver to Apple Card customers in just five years. As we look at the year ahead and beyond, we’re excited to continue to innovate and invest in Apple Card’s award-winning experience, and provide users with more tools and features that help them lead healthier financial lives.”

Goldman Sachs’s CEO Bill Johnson said Apple Card has been a success for customers and that it is continuing to keep it that way.

“Since the launch of Apple Card, the customer response has been excellent, and we are pleased that we continue to see users incorporate the innovative tools and features into their financial lives,” he said. “We are committed to continuing to deliver an excellent experience for Apple Card customers.”

However, it has also been reported by multiple sources that Goldman Sach’s has been looking for a way out of its partnership with Apple for Apple Card, and considered to be “messy” behind the scenes.
