Apple published an announcement today on its newsroom page in several countries stating that Apple TV and Apple Arcade services are now being included in iCloud+ plans.
iCloud+ already offers several features apart from storage, including iCloud Private Relay, Hide My Email, Custom Email Domain, Apple Invites, and HomeKit Secure Video. The inclusion of Apple TV and Apple Arcade was unexpected, and Apple is also phasing out its Apple One plans in these regions. For users who are not subscribed to Apple Music, this also brings ad-free stations with Apple Music Select. Moreover, these inclusions will also be available in the cheapest 50GB storage plan.

What if you subscribe to these services individually along with iCloud+?
If you are currently subscribed to iCloud+ along with either or both of these services separately, the individual plans of Apple TV and Apple Arcade will be cancelled automatically, and you will still have access to these services through iCloud+.
Apple is discontinuing the individual plans in the above listed countries, and existing users without an iCloud+ subscription will automatically be switched to iCloud+.
What if you subscribe to Apple One?
Apple is phasing out the Apple One plans, with the options being unavailable to new users, while existing users may continue with their plans if they choose to.
This move will get several new users onto Apple TV and Apple Arcade, and several users who are using an iPhone, iPad, or Mac are already on an iCloud+ plan. The best part about this inclusion is the fact that it comes with the cheapest 50GB plan with family sharing with up to 5 members, making this a very good value.
The changes are still rolling out gradually, and the expected timeline is till the end of this month.
For someone who is not subscribed to iCloud+, this upgrade is a no-brainer. Are you excited about this change? Let us know down in the comments or write to us on @appleosophy! Be sure to download the Appleosophy App from the App Store or visit our website to stay updated with the latest Apple news!
