Better late than never but the Cinemark app has recently been updated an added support for Apple Pay.

This new update came in Version 3.45.0 which was released last week and has the following improvements:

In this update:

  • Now accepting Apple Pay
  • Performance improvements and bug fixes

Cinemark was previously already accepting Apple Pay in its physical movie theaters. By accepting Apple Pay in both its theaters and app now, it also means that Apple Card users will get 2% in Daily Cash on each purchase they make.

This is not the first movie theater company app that has gotten support for Apple Pay. Back in November 2021, AMC Theatres’ app got support for Apple Pay, along with its physical movie theaters.

On top of that, apps like Fandango that can be used to purchase movie tickets also accepts Apple Pay on its app and website.

What are your thoughts on the Cinemark app getting support for Apple Pay? Comment below or let us know on X at @appleosophy.

Special thanks to @ContactlessWiki on X for the tip!
