The 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M3 chip is now also available at Apple’s Certified Refurbished Store at great discounts. Apple introduced that model back in October 2023 when it introduced the next generation lineup of M3 chips. It was the first time that the 14-inch Pro featured the standard M3 chip as it replaced the 13-inch Pro with the M2 chip and very outdated design, yet you would get a lot more features for that extra $100 when matching the same memory/storage configurations.

The 14-inch Pro with M3 starts at $1,599 with 8GB unified memory and 512GB SSD, but you can now get it refurbished for just $1,359 ($240 off). However, the fact that the base 14-inch model starts at 8GB, especially for a pro laptop, has been heavily criticized by several reviewers, and we’d highly you buy a Mac with at least 16GB unified memory in 2024. With that said, you can also get a 14-inch Pro with 16GB unified memory starting at $1,529, which is still cheaper than buying the base config. of the 14-inch Pro new from Apple.

The 14-inch Pro with M3 offers the super advanced Liquid Retina XDR (mini-LED) display for higher brightness, richer colors, and improved contrast ratios. It also features ProMotion technology for adaptive refresh rates. However, do note that this model comes with just two USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 3 support whereas the higher-end models with M3 Pro or M3 Max feature three USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 4 support. This means that the base 14-inch Pro can connect to only one external display whereas the higher-end models can connect up to three external displays depending on the chip.

All certified products from Apple have been thoroughly cleaned and tested to provide the same quality you’ll find in Apple’s new products. When buying a Certified Refurbished product from Apple, you’ll get the same 14-day return period, a free one-year limited warranty, and the option to opt for AppleCare+ within 60 days from the purchase date.
