Apple has started rolling out visionOS 1.0.3 to the public with an option to reset the Apple Vision Pro in case the user has forgotten the passcode. This update comes a little over a week after the release of visionOS 1.0.2 which came before the launch of the product itself.

According to Apple’s Release Notes, visionOS 1.0.3 “provides important bug fixes and adds an option to reset your device if you’ve forgotten your passcode.

With previous versions of visionOS, if you ever forgot the passcode, you would either need to visit the Apple Store to have them perform a reset, or ship it to Apple. However, with this new update, the process has been simplified and users can now perform a reset themselves.

Similar to iOS 17.3.1, iPadOS 17.3.1, watchOS 10.3.1, and macOS Sonoma 14.3.1, Apple has not published any CVE entries for visionOS 1.0.3, so we can assume that there are no changes in regard to security.

It is highly recommended to update your Apple Vision Pro to the latest software for the best experience. Did you find any new changes in this update?
