As we’ve been anticipating huge announcements for both the iPad Air and iPad Pro, Mark Gurman from Bloomberg has shared another report on Apple’s premium tablets. In his weekly newsletter Powered Onhe expects Apple to announce both models by the end of March or next month via press releases since he expected that Apple would not host a media event this month.

He also reiterated that both the redesigned Magic Keyboard and the next-generation Apple Pencil will be announced alongside the upcoming iPad models, and a special version of the already released software update of iPadOS 17.4 is imminent.

Here are all the iPad models and related accessories that we’re expecting for this month:

  • iPad Pro – all-new thinner design with slightly larger OLED displays, the M3 chip, and a landscape front camera
  • iPad Air – an additional larger 12.9-inch model, the M2 chip, the landscape front camera, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.3
  • Magic Keyboard – all-new design with an aluminum base and larger trackpad
  • Apple Pencil – an upcoming next-generation model with Find My integration and interchangeable tips

Last week, Apple announced both the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air with the M3 chip, so Apple may announce everything mentioned above as soon as next week based on Apple’s timing with product announcements in the past.

  • Apple announced Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro for iPad around the end of May 2023; two weeks later, Apple held its annual WWDC event to introduce the next versions of its operating systems.
  • Apple announced the Apple Pencil (USB-C) via press release in October 2023; two weeks later, Apple announced M3-based MacBook Pros and iMacs.

We’ll surely cover the biggest changes that Apple will officially announce for both iPad models. Make sure to read everything that we can expect for both the iPad Air and iPad Pro.
