This is a mad month for college basketball fans and the good news for Apple TV 4K users is that some of the conference tournament games are not only available to stream on it, but in 4K.
The Big East Conference games started yesterday but will be going on until Saturday, March 16.
The Big 10 conference tournament starts on Friday, March 15 and the PAC 12 conference tournament begins tonight, with games on March 15 and 16.
To view the full schedule, please go here. All games on FOX-owned channels will be available to stream through the FOX 4K channel.
As for how to stream these games in 4K, that will be done through a few different methods.
Two of the methods will be through live TV streaming services such as YouTube TV and fuboTV that have the FOX 4K channel. Please note that for YouTube TV subscribers, in order for them to get access to the FOX 4K channel, they must be subscribed to the 4K Plus add-on.
Our last method will be through the FOX Sports app. By doing it through this method, the user will have to sign in with their TV provider credentials through the app and then get access to the 4K stream of the games.
According to TVAnswersman.com, “Fox’s 4K college basketball and football broadcasts are upscaled from 1080p HDR (High Dynamic Range). Upscaling is the process when one video format is converted to another. Fox takes the 1080p HDR signal and converts it to a 4K format. Upscaling 4K is not considered as good as native 4K, but the inclusion of HDR can offer heightened colors and vividness.”
