The iPhone 15 Pro, which was introduced last September, marked the switch from a stainless steel frame to a lighter titanium frame. At the same time, it introduced four new finishes: Natural Titanium, White Titanium, Black Titanium, and Blue Titanium. Those finishes were achieved by the PVD coating that’s also used in stainless steel Apple Watches.

Now that we’re halfway through the yearly upgrade cycle, we can look forward to what Apple will bring to the table with its iPhone 16 Pro lineup. According to ShrimpApplePro on X, the upcoming models with feature two new finishes – “space black” and “rose.” The iPhone 14 Pro had a finish of the same name, and the latest MacBook Pros also come in Space Black too. It would be fitting that Apple brings “space black” titanium to the next iPhone 16 Pro, potentially replacing the Black Titanium.

For the rose color, Apple offered a gold finish on many of its premium iPhone models starting with the iPhone XS until Apple dropped that option with the iPhone 15 Pro. By adding the rose color to the next lineup of colors for the 16 Pro, it would be a great new option for potential buyers who prefer some kind of gold/rose gold finish.

As for the other colors, the Natural and White Titanium finishes will remain on the iPhone 16 Pro’s options with slight variations on the finishes. This is not the first time we’ve seen a report on new colors for the iPhone 16 Pro as “Majin Bu” claimed those models will come in new finishes “Desert Titanium” and “Gray Titanium” last month.

We can expect the iPhone 16 Pro models to be announced at an Apple Event this September.
