Yesterday, we reported that Apple began selling refurbished models of the Apple Watch Ultra 2. Not only did Apple make those models available in the U.K. Refurbished Store, but also, they also now made it available in the U.S.
This news came out as a surprise as Apple has been facing a legal lawsuit with the technology company Masimo over the Blood Oxygen feature. So to mitigate legal issues, Apple had to disable the Blood Oxygen app in current shipments of the Ultra 2 in only the U.S. With refurbished models now available in the U.S., we can expect those models to follow suit. However, Ultra 2 models outside the U.S. will still have the Blood Oxygen app enabled.
Business as usual, refurbished models are around 15% off the MSRP of new models, and all refurbished models come with both the accessories and manuals included; all of them are repackaged in a white box. All refurbished models are thoroughly tested to meet Apple’s quality standards and come with the same limited one-year warranty and 14-day return period.
As of now, Apple has yet to offer refurbished models of the Apple Watch Series 9 in the U.S.
