The Apple Card has been out since 2019 and while it has been very good to its customers, the time has come for some of its physical cards to be replaced with new ones.

According to MacRumors, Apple has sent out an email to its Apple Card customers, specifically the ones who received their first physical Apple Cards back in 2019, that say they will be receiving new titanium Apple Card’s soon due to their expiration date being in July 2024.

This is what those emails say in them:

“We’re sending a replacement titanium card to your billing address so you can continue to use it at physical locations. Remember, even without a physical card you can always use your Apple Card at any location that accepts Apple Pay. Your new titanium card will be shipped within 2 weeks from the date of this communication.

You can continue to use your titanium card until it expires or you activate the new one. You can still use Apple Card with Apple Pay and your virtual card number to shop at merchants that don’t yet accept Apple Pay by typing in your number from Wallet or using Safari AutoFill.”

Apple Card’s physical design has been a unique to say the least. The card is completely titanium, has the customer’s name etched into it, and has no card number on the front or rear of the card for security and privacy reasons.

Once the customer receives their new physical Apple Card in the mail, they are highly encouraged to immediately activate it. This can all be done through the iPhone and Wallet app once the card is positioned or placed near said iPhone.

Apple Card customers that use the physical card in stores or when used online like through Amazon or Walmart get 1% in Daily Cash on each purchase with it. Purchases made with an iPhone or Apple Watch in a store or online through a business that accepts Apple Pay gets 2% in Daily Cash and 3% at select merchants.

At this time, Apple Card is only available in the United States.
