Not only did Beats introduce the Beats Solo 4 headphones, but the company also introduced its latest addition to its lineup, the Beats Solo Buds. Priced at $79.99, Beats Solo Buds is now Beats’ most budget-friendly model for users who want to enjoy the wireless listening experience without breaking the bank.

Beats Solo Buds offer great audio quality that users can expect from any Beats product. Unlike the rest of the Beats models, they offer passive noise isolation, instead of active noise cancellation, but users can still appreciate the call quality thanks to their custom microphone design and advanced noise-learning algorithms.

With four ear tip sizes to choose from, Beats Solo Pro is a one size that fits all solution for customers who prefer in-ear earbuds. At the same time, its ergonomic design allows Beats Solo Buds to be comfortable to wear for extended listening. Speaking of continuous listening, the Beat Solo Buds offer up to 18 hours of playback from the buds themselves, which beats out any of the Beats products’ battery life.

When you’re not using the Solo Buds, you can store the buds in the included case, which is the smallest case that Beats has ever designed for any earbuds. However, to achieve its smaller size and to cut costs overall, the Solo Buds case is not a charging case to charge the buds when the battery life runs out. Luckily, if you have any mobile device with a USB-C port such as an iPhone 15 or a modern iPad, you can use the included USB-C cable to charge Solo Buds, and five minutes of Fast Fuel charging gives you one hour of playback time.

Like with the rest of Beats’ most recent models, Solo Buds feature a custom Beats chip platform that allows them to work seamlessly with both iOS and Android, including pairing, setup, and Find My services. Additionally, the Beats ‘b’ buttons on the buds can be customized to perform various common actions for playback and call controls.

Even with those small compromises, the Solo Buds are still a good value for people who are entering the wireless earbuds/headphones market. Beats will start shipping Beats Solo Buds in June, and the earbuds will come in four colors: Matte Black, Storm Gray, Arctic Purple, and a very elusive Transparent Red. Beats Solo Buds will replace the standard Beats Studio Buds when they launch, but Beats will continue selling the Studio Buds + along with the Beats Fits Pro and Powerbeats Pro, making Beats’ lineup of earbuds the strongest lineup the company has had.
