Nano-texture glass option exclusive to 1TB/2TB tiers on iPad Pro (M4)

Apple brought the nano-texture glass option to the iPad Pro for the very first time with the M4 models. That display option was originally introduced with the Pro Display XDR in 2019, and it later made its way to the 27-inch iMac (2020) and the Studio Display in 2022. The nano-textured glass reduces glare by “scattering ambient light”, making professional workflows easier to view, especially in very bright environments.

However, to get that display glass option, you have to step up to either the 1TB or 2TB storage tier, and it’ll be a $100 premium to upgrade to the nano-texture glass. On the bright side, the iPad Pro with that upgrade will come with the elusive Apple Polishing Cloth included in the box just like with the Studio Display (nano-texture), the Pro Display XDR, and the Vision Pro.

Other features that are exclusive to those higher storage tier options are 16GB of RAM and the full-fledged M4 chip with 10 CPU cores.

Both the iPad Pro (M4) and iPad Air (M2) are available to order today, and they’ll be available to customers starting May 15.
