Rumors have started circulating around Apple’s upcoming mysterious ultra-thin smartphone, and Ming-Chi Kuo has come out with a report that indicates which features we can expect for the future “iPhone 17 Slim.”

He expects this upcoming ultra-thin iPhone to feature the Dynamic Island which is the same size as on Apple’s current line of iPhones, a standard A19 chip, a single rear camera, and a titanium-aluminum composite frame. The iPhone 15 Pro’s frame is mostly made out of titanium, but this iPhone 17 “Slim” will have a lesser percentage of titanium used in the frame to still retain its rigidity.

The analyst declares that Apple won’t offer a Plus model anymore starting with the iPhone 17 lineup, and the “Slim” model will not be a direct replacement for the Plus model as other reports indicated. However, since this ultra-thin phone will be the most expensive in the lineup, yet offers some features that would be bested by Apple’s more advanced Pro models, it seems that it wouldn’t be called the “Ultra” model by Apple’s definition. Only time will tell on what name this phone could be as we get closer to the official release of that model. We can expect Apple to announce the upcoming iPhone 17 series around September 2025, so it’s still a long time before the rumors come in.
