Apple has started rolling out watchOS 11.0.1 (22R361) to the public with several important bug fixes. This update comes two weeks after the release of watchOS 11.0 which debuted with Sleep Apnea notifications, new translation features, and more. Apple keeps refining the software experience with every 11.x.x update whilst also fixing security issues.

Here are the bugs that have been fixed according to the Release Notes:

  • Apple Watch may unexpectedly restart for some users
  • Music app may unexpectedly quit when loading media
  • Battery may drain more quickly than expected
  • Touch screen may be temporarily unresponsive for some Apple Watch Series 9, Apple Watch Series 10, and Apple Watch Ultra 2 users
  • Messages may unexpectedly quit when replying to a message with a shared Apple Watch

Apple has yet to publish CVE entries for watchOS 11.0.1, and it’s possible that this does not contain any other security fixes as watchOS 11.0 addressed 11 security vulnerabilities.

This update are available on all devices that support watchOS 11 including:

  • Apple Watch Series 6
  • Apple Watch SE (2nd generation)
  • Apple Watch Series 7
  • Apple Watch Series 8
  • Apple Watch Series 9
  • Apple Watch Series 10
  • Apple Watch Ultra
  • Apple Watch Ultra 2

Users can update their Apple Watch by going into the Watch App on their iPhone and navigating to My Watch>General>Software Update. The update requires your Apple Watch to be near your paired iPhone, connected to power, and have at least 50% Battery.

It is highly recommended to update your Apple Watch to the latest software for the best experience. Did you find any new features with this update?
