Apple announced that as of today, users on iOS 18 iPadOS 18 will now have access to using Klarna as another method for Pay Later when making purchases.

Sebastian Siemiatkowski, Co-founder and CEO of Klarna, said this about the addition and how it works.

“Consumers around the world have been asking for Klarna on Apple Pay, so I’m super proud to let them know it’s here,” he said. “Our fair, flexible and interest-free payments options are now even easier to use at your favorite merchants when checking out on Apple Pay online and in apps in the U.S., UK and soon Canada. This is a big step toward our mission to offer consumers Klarna at every checkout.”

Additionally, its press release says, “Klarna’s Pay in 4 payment offering gives consumers 4 fixed repayments for purchases between $35-$2,000, all interest-free. Financing is available for higher ticket items with monthly repayments made over a longer period of time starting at 0% APR.”

When iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 were released last month, only Affirm was available as a Pay Later option.

Apple Pay’s Pay Later option is available in the checkout. Once the Apple Pay button is tapped, then tap “Other Cards & Pay Later Options,” where both Affirm and Klarna should be on there now.

With that said, Apple did also say that Pay Later integration with PayPal is said to be coming to next year.
