One of the biggest changes to the NFL’s broadcast schedule this year is that the league for the first time ever will have two live games exclusively on Netflix.
It has now been confirmed via TVAnswerman.com that both games Netflix is broadcasting this year will be available to stream live in 4K.
Here are the games that will be broadcast on Netflix Christmas Day:
- Chiefs vs. Steelers – 1 p.m. ET
- Ravens vs. Texans – 4:30 p.m. ET
The way how this will be available to Apple TV 4K users is once they open the Netflix app from said Apple TV, the game should be promoted once coverage or the game has started. From there, you’d go to said promoted game and tap to begin streaming.
With all of that said, those wanting to stream the game in 4K must be subscribed to the Premium Plan on Netflix which currently costs $22.99 a month, as that plan is the one with 4K UHD video quality support.
Those that do not have the Premium Plan will only be able to watch the game in HD video quality.
It is still unknown at this time as to whether or not it will be native or upscaled 4K. Upscaled 4K broadcasts are ones that FOX and ESPN have done this college football season and other sporting events as well.
