Apple rolls out watchOS 11.2 to the public

Apple has started rolling out watchOS 11.2 to the public with a few new changes and security improvements. This update comes more than six weeks after the release of watchOS 11.1 which also debuted with several bug fixes. Apple keeps refining the software experience with every 11.x.x update whilst also fixing security issues.

According to Apple, watchOS 11.2 “includes improvements for your Apple Watch, including:

– Tides app expands map support for tidal conditions and coastal locations in China
– Camera Remote app can pause recording of iPhone video

watchOS 11.2 also includes fixes to 15 security flaws, according to Apple.

This update is available on all devices that support watchOS 11 including:

  • Apple Watch Series 6
  • Apple Watch SE (2nd generation)
  • Apple Watch Series 7
  • Apple Watch Series 8
  • Apple Watch Series 9
  • Apple Watch Series 10
  • Apple Watch Ultra
  • Apple Watch Ultra 2

Users can update their Apple Watch by going into the Watch App on their iPhone and navigating to My Watch>General>Software Update. The update requires your Apple Watch to be near your paired iPhone, connected to power, and have at least 50% Battery.
